Members of the Westmont Landlord Association (WLA) subscribe to a strict code of ethics governing the residential rental industry.Compliance of the code of ethics is required to maintain membership within our association. Please read the following Code of Ethics and, if you agree, please sign and return this application along with the appropriate membership fee.

Westmont Landlord Association (WLA) Code of Ethics We, the members of the WLA, recognizing our duty to the public and to the intimate nature of the relationship between the rental resident and the owner or manager, and being aware of the vastly increasing role of the residential rental industry in providing the home of the future, and in order to provide the residential rental public with integrity, do hereby bind ourselves, with each and every member, together and alone, agreeing that, so long as we remain members of the WLA and so long as nothing containing herein shall be unlawful, to: Promote, employ, and maintain a high standard of integrity in the performance of all rental obligations and services in the operation of our rental properties. Maintain and operate our residential rental properties in accordance with fair and honorable standards of competition, ever mindful of the purpose of the Westmont Landlord Association and in compliance with the by-laws thereof. Strive continually to promote the education of the membership and to promote the progress and dignity of the residential rental industry in creating a better image of itself in order that the public be better served. Seek to provide better values, so that an even greater share of the public may enjoy the many benefits of residential rental living. Establish high ethical standards of conduct within the residential rental industry of the business relationship between the owner, managers and suppliers of products and services to the residential rental industry. Maintain the rental property to the minimum standards of the appropriate governmental authority. Ensure that every qualified individual, regardless of that individual's color, race, religion, gender, disability, familial status, or national origin, is afforded the same opportunity to rent and to enjoy the benefits of residential rental living. The purpose of membership in WLA is described in the association's Code of Ethics, which I have read and which I clearly understand. I do hereby agree to comply and support the high standards as set forth in WLA's Code of Ethics. I further understand that a breech of the Code of Ethics may be grounds for termination of my membership by the Board of Directors. In the event that my membership is discontinued for any reason, I agree to abstain from using the WLA logo, WLA forms, and all services reserved for members of WLA.
